As a glass half full kinda girl like Cindy Lou of Whoville :),  I knew the Grinch would not take sport fans happiness this year. With the year winding down, I have to be thankful for many things… the NFL and NBA lockouts were avoided, the US Women’s Soccer Team with my friend Nicole Barnhart defied odds in the World Cup landing themselves in the championship game, Joe Paterno earning win 409, the Packers winning the Super Bowl and now this unbelievable win streak (oh snap…maybe not), Wilson Ramos returned home safely after being kidnapped in Venezuela, David Freese knocking it “out the box” in the 11th inning to take the Cardinals to the 7th and winning game of the World Series…… and…..I won most bets on the length of Kim and Kris’ marriage……Yay me..I didn’t win any money just the satisfaction that our magic 8 ball doesn’t lie…Chris Berman has put me on speed dial for consultations…….

Entering the holidays, bowl games and the start of the NBA season are gift enough for many. Christmas will be opening day for the NBA… make plans to check out the games as you recover from gifts, meals, fruit cake, and spiked egg nog
